- Community Management
- Event Organisation
- Organic Campaigns
- Basic Photography Skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop
- Understanding of WordPress
I was fortunate to take on the role of Digital Marketing Officer, within an award-winning marketing team, for Inspire Education Group. A key responsibility of mine is overseeing all organic social media coverage across 20 different social accounts. I am also responsible for community management within Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Tik Tok.
A major project that took place over 10 months was the creation of three new websites. These were for Peterborough College, Stamford College and University Centre Peterborough. We were tasked with exporting content from the previous websites, and uploading to the new websites. Peterborough College was first started August 2023 and was delivered in September 2023, followed by Stamford College in January 2024 and then finally finishing with University Centre Peterborough in April 2024. This is a massive achievement and contributed to our Team of The Year Award at the 2024 IEG staff conference.
Working closely with the graphic design team, we ensure brand guidelines are followed and consistent in every post. I am in charge or planning and creating organic campaigns, for special events such as Apprenticeships week, Graduation, Clearing and Enrolment, to increase engagement. We have a PR team, within our marketing department, who I work with to ensure we are capturing and shining light to a range of case studies. These are used to promote courses and events to prospective students.
I have a important responsibility to help at a range of events such as Graduation, Performing Arts Shows and End of Year Art Exhibitions. I work a range of roles, from welcoming prospective students during all customer touchpoints, including open events, taster days and enrolment week, to checking attendees in, and capturing content such as video or photography, while arranging interviews for social media coverage.
Working for this organisation has allowed me the opportunity to further my professional development and enrol on the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship at Nottingham Trent University. I have just finished my first year where I finished with a High 2:1.
Junior Content Producer / Accounts Manager
Chaos Internet
August 2020 –
September 2022
Key Skill Takeaway:
- SEO Copy Writing Skills
- Basic Amazon PPC Skills
- Account Management
- Basic Data Analytics Skills
- Diverse Product Advertisement
- Working Within A Diverse Marketing Team
In August 2020, I joined Chaos Internet as a Junior Content Producer Apprentice. This role provided me with my first opportunity to work within the Digital Marketing industry.
My role was focused around Amazon marketing where we assisted Amazon sellers with optimising their listings, reviewing their PPC campaigns and organising FBA shipments. This was a new side of marketing that I was unfamiliar with before taking on this role, but something I found fascinating. We had a wide range of clients from water softeners, pond treatment and bathroom squeegees to wine, pool accessories and original film and television merchandise.
Whilst only four months into my role, I was trusted to take on the responsibility of Amazon Accounts Manager. While I continued with my Apprenticeship, this role saw me take on new responsibilities. These included onboarding new clients, training new apprentices and reporting back to clients about how their products are performing, making suggestions for how their marketing could be improved and pricing up new tasks which would then be distributed between the team. In May 2022 , I achieved a Distinction in my Apprenticeship, securing the highest possible grade the agency had received.
Admin Assistant
Next
September 2016 –
August 2020
Key Skill Takeaway:
- Customer Service Experience
- How To Be A Team Player
- Basic Leadership Skills
- Administrative Skills
I began my journey at Next as a part-time sales assistant. This was supposed to be a temporary position to help during a sale weekend, however I secured a permanent contract where I worked on the Home Department. My key responsibilities included tidying and maintaining the shop floor, interacting with every customer and providing the best possible customer service.
In December 2018, I moved into my role as Admin Assistant. I was in charge of setting up or closing the tills, carrying out full cash counts, transferring goods between stores and warehouses, daily parcel audits and ensuring transactions were carried out successfully throughout the day.
In June 2019 I was promoted to Head Team Coach which added responsibilities to my role. This included recruitment for the store, carrying out phone interviews and assessments, hosting inductions for new starters and ensuring all staff were up to date on their training. I set up a system which meant that all staff members had a team coach they could turn to for help, advice and training. I would liaise with the team coaches to discuss progress within the store, new training that had to be completed and any suggestions or feedback they had that could be implemented throughout the store.
